Selena Gomez’s Early Morning Pre-Flight Beauty Routine is So Relatable — See the Video
We’ve all been there: You booked a super early flight, and now you have to tumble out of bed, do your skincare routine and maybe put on a little mascara and concealer before you depart, making sure to arrive two hours before your flight with all your essentials safely packed and boarding documents in hand. While megastars like Selena Gomez do have access to private jets and first class cabins, they still understand the struggle of trying to wake up and hustle through the security line when every cell in your body is begging to go back to bed.
Gomez shared her early morning pre-flight routine on TikTok, and despite the fact that she probably flies via a fancy private airline, that doesn’t make her wake-up call any easier! In the very first frame of the video, we see a yawning Gomez rubbing sleep out of her eyes before waking up her senses with a healthy spritz of the classic Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater and its earthy floral aroma. (If her flight is at 6 A.M., does that mean she’s up at 4? Yikes!) The Rare Beauty founder cleanses with iS Clinical’s Cleansing Complex, a gentle yet powerful daily cleanser for all skin types, while still clearly waking up from a deep sleep, then follows it with Rare Beauty’s Hydrating Under Eye Patches to cool and refresh; it may not be a cup of coffee, but those patches probably feel great on sleepy skin.
While her patches do their work, Gomez tones with Dermalogica’s Multi-Active Toner, then follows with two Dermalogica serums, which she massages into her face and neck. The Only Murders in the Building star is starting to wake up a bit, especially with some strategically-placed swipes of Rare Beauty’s Positive Light Under Eye Brightener, which also features a cooling and reviving metal roller applicator to perk you up. A spritz of Rare’s Always An Optimist 4-in-1 Prime & Set Mist (in a travel-friendly size, no less!) is her final step, and then Gomez is ready to hit the friendly skies — where she immediately pulls on a sleep mask and takes a nap. Celebs … they are just like us after all.
