One reason why I love home decor, and tablescaping in particular, is because you can recreate any atmosphere and travel anywhere you like, simply by mixing linens, vintage bits, pretty ceramics and flowers.

Today, I wanted to bring a bit of rustic Provence to my table and create my own little corner of the French Mediterranean.

A heavy linen embroidered tablecloth is the perfect start to such a setting, followed by delicate hand-painted ceramics with a lovely vintage feel. I also like to add a few floral cushions on our chairs for a touch of romance and to keep guests comfortable all evening long. These particular ones are all hand-sawn and made from limited edition vintage fabrics.

It’s time to light up some candles for a cosier atmosphere and open a nice bottle of red wine – Cheers!
